AVN – General Conditions of Purchase

The multi-year CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) plan shows how and why AVN pays attention to the balance of People, Planet and Profit in its business operations. This includes our supply chain for which we apply this General Conditions of Purchase.

1. General
These International Purchasing Conditions apply to all supplies and services provided by suppliers to A. van Nieuwenhuizen en Zn B.V. Deviations shall only be valid if agreed in writing.

2. Laws and Regulations
The Supplier shall comply with all applicable local, national and international laws and regulations, including those relating to labour conditions, health and safety, environmental protection, trade and export control.

3. Responsible International Business Conduct (RIBC)
The Supplier shall act in accordance with the principles of Responsible International Business Conduct. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• no use of child labour, forced labour or illegal labour;
• fair and respectful treatment of employees, without discrimination;
• compliance with applicable laws on wages, working hours and employment conditions;
• ensuring a safe and healthy working environment;
• compliance with environmental legislation and efforts to minimise environmental impact.

4. Transparency and Supply Chain Responsibility
The Supplier shall be transparent about the origin of products and materials and shall make reasonable efforts to apply these principles throughout its own supply chain.

5. Monitoring and Compliance
A. van Nieuwenhuizen en Zn B.V. reserves the right to verify compliance with these conditions. In the event of serious or repeated non-compliance, the cooperation may be suspended or terminated.

6. Final Provision
These conditions form an integral part of the agreement between the parties.
